Plex watch history, Now Playing tracker, and media habit analytics — connected via PIN-based OAuth.
Connect your Plex account and xeve syncs your personal watch history — movies, TV shows, and other media. The Now Playing tracker shows what you are watching in real time. Client-side sync reaches your LAN server directly.
Every movie and TV show you watch on Plex is logged with title, metadata, duration, and timestamps.
Real-time display of what you are currently watching across all Plex clients. Updates live on the Watching dashboard page.
Syncs directly from your browser to your local Plex server. No cloud relay needed — your media server stays private.
See when you watch the most — by day of week, time of day, and content type. Identify binge patterns and downtime habits.
The correlation engine cross-references your watch time with productivity metrics. See if late-night watching affects next-day output.
Plex integration uses PIN-based OAuth (plex.tv/pins). The user initiates auth, receives a PIN, and approves it on plex.tv. Once authorized, an auth token is stored in user_integrations. Watch history is pulled from the Plex API (/status/sessions/history/all) and stored in a watch_history table. Client-side sync uses the browser to fetch directly from the user's LAN Plex server IP, avoiding the need for a cloud relay and keeping media server access private.
Currently xeve supports Plex only for media tracking. Netflix, Disney+, and other streaming services do not offer public APIs for watch history. Plex was prioritized because its API provides full watch history access.
No. xeve uses client-side sync that connects directly to your LAN server from your browser. Remote access is not required. As long as your browser can reach your Plex server, sync works.
Yes. Watch history is stored in your private Supabase database with row-level security. Only you can access your data. The client-side sync means your Plex server address never touches xeve servers.
