terms of service

last updated — march 2026

01

By accessing or using xeve (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

02

xeve is a personal analytics platform that tracks app usage, coding sessions, and integrates with third-party services (Spotify, GitHub, HealthKit) to provide insights about how you spend your time. The Service includes a macOS application, iOS application, VS Code extension, Claude Code integration, and a web dashboard.

03

You must create an account to use xeve. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One person per account — shared accounts are not permitted. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.

04

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; use the Service to collect data about other people without their consent; attempt to access another user's data; use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service; use the Service for any illegal purpose.

05

You own your data. All personal analytics data you generate through the Service belongs to you. You can export your data at any time in CSV or JSON format. You can delete your data and account at any time. We do not claim any ownership rights over your personal data. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data.

06

The xeve name, logo, website design, application code, and documentation are the intellectual property of xeve. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission. The Service may include open-source components governed by their respective licenses.

07

The Service integrates with third-party services including Spotify, GitHub, Apple HealthKit, and Google OAuth. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services. You can disconnect any integration at any time.

08

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" during the early access period. We do not guarantee uptime, data accuracy, or uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for data loss due to hardware failures, network issues, or other factors outside our control. The Service is not a medical device and health data should not be used for medical decisions.

09

To the maximum extent permitted by law, xeve and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. During the free early access period, this amount is zero.

10

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with changes, you may delete your account.
